Will a silver name necklace given as a gift compliment a guy's cool skin tone?
Asked 2 years ago
My boyfriend's birthday coincides with the Ney year's holidays, and I want to get him a special gift to kick off the year. I want to gift him a name necklace, but I have limited metal options because of his pale skin. He dislikes wearing gold because it is too noticeable. Is sterling silver a more suitable option for him?

Since your boyfriend has a paler skin tone, he would fall under the "cool category", which would mean that he has a cool undertone. What this basically means for you, is that white metals will complement his skin tone the best. So necklaces with metals like white gold, platinum or sterling silver would definitely be your best bet as a lovely gift going into the new year. Silver will create a fresh feel against lighter skin. Silver will also really stand out if your boyfriend has lighter or blonde hair. I'm sure he is going to absolutely love his gift!
